Event information:

 Display Area

A separate display of FX and FJ Competition and Special Interest vehicles will be on show and the local FE-FC, FB-EK and EJ-EH Clubs have been invited to display examples of those vehicles.

ScrutineeringAll Classes listed in the AEHF Constitution Rules will be open to eligible vehicles.  Entrants are asked to list the Class in which their vehicle was judged if entered in a previous Nationals event.  We have been fortunate to enlist the services of scrutineers and judges who are knowledgeable in their respective classes and who have agreed to adopt a considerate approach when allocating points.  Reproduction parts will be judged original, provided they take the form of the original.

Vehicle access to the Racecourse and Scrutineering area will be signposted and Marshalls will be on duty to assist you.  Details will be posted to entrants with their windscreen stickers and information pack well before the event. At this event we will be grouping like vehicles together at the Show and Shine eg. Panel Vans, Utes and Sedans.

Marquees and Tents

Sponsors Marquees will be located together adjacent to the Show and Shine display. Entrant’s trailers/caravans will be accommodated next to their vehicles where possible. Where not possible, entrants are required to comply with the Marshalls’ direction.

Nationals Motor Museum Picnic

The scenic run to, and from, the National Motor Museum Picnic Day at Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills, includes the opportunity to visit a unique Holden display and an amazing collection of vehicles.  The curators have arranged some special interest Holden’s for us to see and the National collection will be available for inspection throughout the day.

An admission charge of $15 per vehicle is made by the Museum which will be collected before we set off on Sunday. As with the rest of the event, Marshalls will be in place to assist with parking on arrival.

You are welcome to bring a picnic; the Museum grounds provide an ideal picnic spot. Alternatively, Birdwood has a great range of food to keep everyone satisfied. There will no food vans on site. The Blumberg Hotel offers sit down meals in a traditional pub environment (Bookings are recommended on 08 85685243) and close by there is Blumberg Bakery, the Pomegranate Cottage Café and Lovell’s Bakery.  Birdwood also has a supermarket directly opposite the Museum.

When leaving Birdwood you may wish to stop at Gumeracha to view the giant rocking horse and native animal park or the Applewood Distillery on Victoria St. Melbas Chocolate factory is short drive down the road at Woodside or if wine is your thing maybe one of South Australia’s premium Hills wineries may interest you. Bird in Hand, Shaw and Smith or Nepenthe before stopping for a stroll down the main street in Hahndorf to sample a coffee and cake or visit a few of the craft shops and galleries. There really is plenty to see and to do before you make your way back to Murray Bridge for the Movie Night under the stars.Speaking of stars we have a special guest lined up to join us on the night.

Fashion Parade

Featuring fashions by Beebop Boutique, the ’Fashions In The Field’  Parade kicks off at the Murray Bridge Racing Club from 1:30pm on Saturday. If you are a fashionista make yourself known to Debra our organiser and she will have you kitted out and ready to strut yourself down the catwalk!  Admission is $5 which includes a glass of bubbly on arrival.
